Talk:3D Print Sport Case for Lumia 920
BuildNokia - Now I want to go skydiving
This is a very cool idea, Marlon! I watched the video and it made me want to go out and make one of these and go skydiving.
This is a good start but it needs more detailed "how-to" descriptions. Remember that the purpose of a wiki is to explain to other people how you did something so that they can do it too.
I see that you've attached an STP model file, which is great, but then you need to say more about what to do with this file. What printer should people use? What material should the case be made of?
If I were you I'd structure this as follows:
Parts you need: - Lumia 920 - Fish-eye lens (give brand name too so people can find this one) - Recommended plastic (PLA? ABS? Something else?)
Using the STP file - How to use it - Why you chose STP vs. STL
Tweaking the design - What software used to tweak - Features of your design, and an explanation of where it's defined in the code - Things that people might want to consider changing - How to make this work with a different model of phone
Printing the design - What software/hardware used to print - Hints and resources for finding a 3D printer you can use
Give this a try and let us know how it goes. Feel free to reach out if you need more ideas or help.Jen
