Hamishwillee - Thank you, excellent job

Hi Oliver

Great job - particularly like that you've referenced the key documents rather than reproducing. I have subedited this a little, and restructured mostly for wiki link style and readability. Please check I didn't break any of your meaning.

Really appreciate your help here. Thanks!

SB Dev -

Hi Hamish,

I like the structural changes, wasn't quite sure how to structure the Dev Center subscription stuff and free unlock options. I also missed the link to the article about additional space requirement during installation.. I like the improvements you made.

Best Regards

Hamishwillee - Thanks

At a later point the thing might need to be restructured again, depends on what WP8+ brings. Might also be worth pulling out section for WP7 - but I think it is OK for now.

Influencer - Added tip

I added a tip on how to get the deployment limits increased.

Hamishwillee - Good tip

I made a minor modification - best not to state specific additional apps/devices, as this will depend on reasons and circumstance at time.

Vishnusuhas - Xap Deployer

You can use xap deployer 2.0 as a alternative to deploying xaps easily. find it here -

Hamishwillee - Vishnusuhas - why would you use this?

The Xap deployer in the SDK works fine and is "official" - why is this one recommended?

SB Dev -

There's something in the "See also" block that the Wiki doesn't quite like. Can't quite see what it is though.

SB Dev (talk) 11:13, 28 November 2013 (EET)

Hamishwillee - SB Dev - there are some characters that wiki templates can't cope with

Hi Oliver

Wiki templates use | to separate parameters and = for named parameters - so neither of these can be used in templates directly (which SeeAlso is). I usually just replace with the HTML character code - done here.

Influencer - AppStudio?

How does AppStudio fit in there?

You can sideload after a certificate for enterprise apps is installed.

influencer (talk) 17:53, 30 November 2013 (EET)

Hamishwillee - Influencer - it doesn't

Hi Thomas

Excuse my ignorance - I've not yet used the tool. Does it just upload to store when you can use it? I see it generate source, so presumably the rules are the same for any other app.

Anyway, as I see it, if the rules are different for AppStudio apps then it deserves its own section "Deployment for AppStudio apps" and then discussion of what those different rules are.

Can you do that or clarify (in which case I can try do it)
