Msjen - Thanks for the Status Bar Title Tutorial, but one small correction

Thank you for the Status Bar title tutorial, but I found that I could not put the

title = "My Custom Title!"

Anywhere in my code, but instead needed to put it in the Text Object like such:

           Text{
               id: statusPaneTitle
               anchors.verticalCenter: parent.verticalCenter
               maximumLineCount: 1
               x: 0
               color: "white"
               text = "My Custom Title!"
           }
With that small correction it is working for me on Symbian Belle. Thanks!

Favoritas37 - Response on Msjen correction

Hm...interesting. In my tests it was working fine since i have declared the property alias title: statusPaneTitle.text in the top level element of all the QML application.

Any way, glad it helped :)

Hamishwillee - It's probably the equals sign

This is QML, so its like CSS for initialisation and JavaScript for assignment. So I suspect that you're using

text = "My Custom Title!"

when you should be doing

text: "My Custom Title!"
