Talk:Collection of Value converters for Windows Phone apps

SB Dev -

The attached sample is crashing both in WP7 and WP8 build configurations, when tested on a Nokia Lumia 920. The affected method is GetVersion in App.xaml.cs. Changing that method so it returns a fixed value solves the problem. Given that the method isn't relevant to the actual sample the code of the project should perhaps be changed. Given that after fixing that problem the information is equally relevant for WP8 I have added the additional category.

SB Dev -

ValueConverters are one of the most valuable things when relying heavily on data binding in XAML. It's a great article so I wanted to check wether everything worked on WP8 to update it to the new category.

Thx for fixing the problem so fast, I believe many can benefit from it.

Ashish Jain -

what namespace me have to added into my xyx.xaml page ? Please show the namespace too.

Hamishwillee - Looks like it would be System.Windows.Data

Hi Ashish

Agree this should be included. In the meantime, quick look at the main classes used indicates System.Windows.Data is required for the value converters. YOu could also check the uploaded zip.
