Great topic to cover. Remember to check that we don't have anything on this before writing. Also take care that you do mean "platforms" here. Lastly, J2ME is deprecated platform name. I understand its called Java ME now.

Thanks very much - this is a good, straightforward practical example of a useful technique.

I've subedited this for wiki style - can you please check that a) I didn't change any of your "meaning" and b) you are happy with this

The main change is to push the images more to the "forefront". Often/usually a picture tells "1000 words".

The other changes I made were the categories - at the moment the main UI categories are LCDUI and LWUIT for Java ME. I also added this to "Programming idioms" as that is useful too.
