Talk:Hybrid - Applications for Mobile
Hamishwillee - Hybrid yes, cross platform - not really?
Is this really "cross platform"? If so, which platforms?

Pavan.pareta - Yes! It's Cross platform App.
Yes! It's Cross platform App.
The core concept of Hybrid Application is a common UI development for all targeted platforms and native functionality has to develop separately for each platform. Each platform we have to write a plug-in to communicate between generic HTML UI (User Interface) and specific platform's native API. In this article I have targeted Nokia Windows Phone.
How we can accomplish it on some other platform, let’s assume want to developed this app such as iPhone, BB and Android as well, in that case developer use the same HTML file and embedded them into the separate-separate native application, and developer has to write native plug-in to communicate with the UI (HTML files) to access the native functionality such as Camera, Accelerometer and GPS etc. in the application. However these html pages might be used in mobile web app which could be hosted over the server and access it in the mobile web-browser using http protocol.
Kind Regards,Pavan Pareta
