Please note that as of October 24, 2014, the Nokia Developer Wiki will no longer be accepting user contributions, including new entries, edits and comments, as we begin transitioning to our new home, in the Windows Phone Development Wiki. We plan to move over the majority of the existing entries over the next few weeks. Thanks for all your past and future contributions.
Talk:Location based operations using Bing Maps
Croozeus - Sub-edited and renamed
Thanks for your contribution. Would like to see more such contributions around LBS.
I finished sub-editing the article - partially last week and more today. I tried to increase the readability, added download section, also renamed it to a shorted title. Please check if OK.
Some code snippets (for e.g. the first and the last one) could use (more) comments. Trust you'll add them.--Pankaj.

Hamishwillee - Add cross references
A few thoughts.
- Have we checked overlap with other WP location articles: Portal:Windows Phone Location & Maps? If any cover related material we need to decide how to deal with that - merging, or just cross linking
- It is rumoured that WP8 will use a Nokia mapping solution. At that point we'd have to differentiate this - probably by renaming to "... in Windows Phone 7" or "... using Bing Maps ..." or similar. If it happens what might even be more useful would be "porting maps from wp7 to wp8". Lets wait and see. (note of course we'd want to do that for the other articles too.

Croozeus - Re: Add cross references
1. Currently as I check there aren't any articles which explain geocoding, reverse geocoding and routing using Bing Maps in WP7.
2. Agreed, we need to revisit the Location/ Map articles when we have clarity on WP8 offerings.
I see no harm in renaming this to "...using Bing Maps" even now. We can move this.--Pankaj.

Hamishwillee - OK, movedThanks for review. I've suggested Thomas add links to any official documentation on using these controls (or other good tutorials) in a SeeAlso, or "in place". Otherwise pretty pleased with this.

I added a Maps section to the http://www.developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Windows_Phone_development_-_useful_links article. I collected links to our WP7 maps articles there.Thomas
