SWARNPRAKASH - how to participate
i want to ask that how & where to register for the competition, how to make the article, what should be the pro's & con's, what must be the major part, do we need to do any extra thing for this.
What sort of feedback do u want on the SDK. Is that article should have to be totally original, then it is not possible as because the API's & other development stuffs for WP are already present on many websites such as stack overflow.com & many more, what kind of uniqueness do u want in that article, what must be the highlights of the article. please do answer all my queries as soon as possible. Thanks

Hamishwillee - Responses
@Vinayppatil - added - note is in draft. There is no need to add entries until they are complete, but no harm in it either.
@ Uarangala - I suggest you compete then.
@Cronius - No, you can compete in both but there is only one prize per entrant.
@SWARNPRAKASH - how to participate
i want to ask that how & where to register for the competition
Read instructions above
how to make the article
Its a wiki article, create it on this wiki. If you don't know how to do so, then suggest you read some guidance on Help:Contents
what should be the pro's & con's, what must be the major part, do we need to do any extra thing for this.
Don't know what you mean. The above article covers the terms and conditions.
What sort of feedback do u want on the SDK.
Useful feedback about any aspect of using it. Ie bugs in the SDK or documentation. Missing filters you need, and why. Changes to the API which would make it more useful for you. Anything that we as Nokia can and should reasonably do to make this SDK a success
Is that article should have to be totally original, then it is not possible as because the API's & other development stuffs for WP are already present on many websites such as stack overflow.com & many more, what kind of uniqueness do u want in that article, what must be the highlights of the article.
When we say original we don't necessarily mean that the article doesn't use APIs and materials that are used elsewhere. However they shouldn't duplicate articles or docs used elsewhere, and they should show your original and innovative thought, along with your new code as the key component. So for example the first article (incomplete) above is VoiceMaging for Windows Phone 8 - there aren't other articles on the net that show how you might do this interesting combination of working with voice and imaging. Maybe you invent a new filter, or an interesting visual effect by combining the filters - for example an ereader with a particularly cool page turning effect.
What we do not want is a shallow copy of documents already on the wiki or on MSDN or some other site.
I hope that answers your questions.

>iit would be great that some winner to also get a certificate to show that he/she really won. that would be a more interesting piece for the CV (as u mentioned that winning is great for the CV).
Perhaps next time. For this competition the prize is as stated.
>in the forum to participate with the feedback category, if the user will write many posts, then it is just one post considered for the competition? or can the user write as many posts as he/she wants? can also the user edit some feedback post? You can write as many posts as you like, and you can (I believe) edit your own posts to add correction. However as a rule I would prefer you do not edit your own posts and I will be checking that such posts to not contain information added by later posters.
talk) 05:54, 16 July 2013 (EEST)(
Hamishwillee - ChroniusRemember, "quality over quantity". The winner won't be the person who bombards us with lots of posts. They will be the person who provides the most relevant and useful feedback.

Neeleah - A simple question. Can I write the article in my blog and share the link here to participate in the competition?
talk) 21:48, 22 July 2013 (EEST)(
Hamishwillee - Neeleah - no
You can however write the article on wiki, and then of course promote it though your blog. Indeed this is quite common - a detailed wiki article (which incidentally will need to be in wiki style not blog style) which is referenced by a smaller blog. The wiki article tends to be dry and factual, while the blog tends to be more about the "journey" - ie not just the end results, but why the topic interests you.

RatishPhilip - For the next segments
For the next segments, are we supposed to enhance our current articles or add new ones?
I have a few more enhancements planned for my app FilterSquare which I am also planning to release in the Windows Marketplace. Can I update my article with their details?
talk) 07:15, 7 August 2013 (EEST)(
Hamishwillee - Ratish - yes
Yes, please enhance your current articles if the content is still relevant.
More generally, the decision to have separate articles depends on how they are structured. So you've created a "this is my app" style article, and most things about the app would go into that article. If however you'd created an article "How to apply images to parts of filters", concentrating on the blitting, masks etc, rather than the whole app, then you might write a new article for something like "Defining arbitrary areas of a bitmap to pass to the Imaging SDK".
Hope that makes sense - both app and "function" style articles make sense - the app style tells a "whole story", while the "How to" style makes direct instructions easier to find.

To pe - Another entry
I've just started writing my entry: http://developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Partial_filter_application_and_blending_with_Nokia_Imaging_SDK. It is still in draft although the application is practically finished. The application aims to do something different than regular "whole image filter" applications by applying filters just to those regions that user wants. With blending this technique can create, in my opinion, interesting images.
I hope that I will finish the article tomorrow.
