Talk:Parse Local XML file in Windows Phone
Hamishwillee - Links to associated reference
Thanks for this article.
Would it be possible to attach a buildable zip file so that people can try it out.
It is also a really good idea to explain your code, and to add links to the main API reference and guide material that you used to createit.

Hamishwillee - Thanks Mahul
Much appreciated - that way people can at least verify it works.I still believe it would improve this article to provide more and better links, and more explanation. For example, linking XmlSerializer to the XmlSerializer API reference, and also putting links to any guide on MSDN on serialisation.

SB Dev -A link to the MSDN was added for the class XMLSerializer. The code was tested for WP7 and WP8 and the article added to the WP8 category.

Nosbag72 - Question about the code
First Thanks for this article.
My problem is that when i try to execute this code, Vb tells me that "lstStates" and "parser" don't exist in this context. Thing that i don't understand even if i have tried to resolve it. Moreover source code is no more avaible.
So pls help, i really need to understand how to parse XML file for my "map configuration file".
Thanks a lot guys . Great Job on this Wiki !Gabson.

Hamishwillee - What do you mean source code not available?
- What is "Vb" here where you say "Vb tells me " - if you mean visual basic this is C# code only.
- What do you mean source code is not available - see File:LocalXmlParsing.zip - if so, what are you running to get the above errors.
There are other examples of how to parse XML, but all use C# : Category:XML on Windows Phone
