Talk:Using Telerik RadCartesianChart to create a game scoreboard
Hamishwillee - Subedited/Reviewed
Thanks for the article. I've given it a basic subedit for English - please check it still says what you want.
IMO the topic choice is good, we haven't covered many of the controls and they appear useful.
The article isn't perfect for me. From the code I can look through carefully and work out what you did to create the bars. However I am not sure I could use these instructions to create my own bar chart. I think it is because this is very much about a particular use of the control, rather than what the control enables - also because there is no overview of how it works so I couldn't see until the end that the chart is all defined in XAML and you use data binding to connect to Csharp - and its still not clear to me what the constraints/requirements on that C# is. Lastly, would like to know the "limits" of the control - can it have arbitrary series, is there any usage advice we should link to? Are there any efficiency issues or tips and tricks?
Anyway, have a think about this
- "can someone take this article and easily work out how to create their own bar chart". If not, how can you make it easier?
- Are there things that they should be able to do with a chart that aren't shown by the article - can we explain in the introduction more about what the chart offers, and note both what we did do, and some of the things we don't show.
- Are there any tips and tricks.
Remember, I'm not a WP expert and this might be completely obvious to anyone programming day to day, so just think about whether you see my point before making any changes. If I'm wrong, then don't make them :-0

Saramgsilva - Response
i believe the article is not perfect, this is a solution i created for one aplication of mine. And I shared a similar sample using MVVM e PCL because the project created i for WP8 and Windows Store apps (Telerik.RadCartesianChartSample.Common is the shared project with both).
When i did this i found some problems with missing information, reason this sample is so simple and i referer the basic information. But anyone can help with more details :) and do not forget there are different kinds of scoreboard...I will try review this again.

Hamishwillee - General is always better than specific
I understand this was created to show how you solved a specific problem. I think you understand my point - an article has even more value if others can use the information in it to solve other/similar problems. This article needs more work IMO to do that.
Thanks for looking into this - my comments are "suggestions for improvement". It is up to you to decide whether that is something that you can or want to do.
This has value in any case and I thank you very much for it!
