Description

The eSWT browser crashes without notification between access point selection and starting to download the page.

How to reproduce

  1. Implement a test MIDlet using this example code: Archived:Using eSWT Browser in Java ME
  2. Launch the test MIDlet. If the MIDlet prompts about network connection options, press Cancel.
  3. Press Options and choose Enter URL from the list of options.
  4. A text box will be prompted for entering the URL. Enter a URL and press OK and select an access point to connect to the network.

Solution

This issue has been fixed in the second commercial software release (v 20.0.019).
