A package containing several MMF APIs was published as a plug-in on top of S60 3rd Edition, Maintenance Release SDK. It has the following APIs that were previously missing from the SDK:

  • MMF DevSound API
  • Multimedia Controller API
  • MIDI Custom Commands API
  • Multimedia Common API
  • Multimedia Controller Framework API
  • Multimedia Framework Audio Input API
  • Multimedia Framework Audio Output API
  • Multimedia Framework Base Class API
  • Multimedia Standard Custom Commands API
  • Multimedia Standard Sources And Sinks API

Since the release of the plug-in, it has been replaced by SDK API Plug-in packages and marked as obsolete. The old package may still be useful for developers using the Maintenance Release (3.0) SDK because all MMF APIs are not available in the new plug-in packages.

The Extensions plug-in for S60 3rd Edition SDK for Symbian OS, for C++, MR package can still be accessed via the direct link.

Note that this package should be only installed on top of the S60 3rd Edition, Maintenance Release SDK.
