Eseries SDK Plug-in causes incorrect behavior in Contacts application (Known Issue)
|ID||KIS000851||Creation date||March 25, 2008|
|Platform||S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1||Devices||Nokia Eseries SDK Plug-in for S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1|
When trying to add a contact in S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 emulator with the Eseries SDK Plug-in installed, the fields in Email field do not display the correct characters.
When adding a contact in wide-screen mode in the emulator, some of the fields behave correctly (first name, last name etc). However, when trying to enter characters into the Email field, incorrect output is shown. For example, typing 'a' will result in '£' being displayed. After editing the Email field, this incorrect behavior can also be seen in other fields.
How to reproduce
After installing the Eseries SDK plug-in for S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 SDK, try editing the Email field in the Contacts application. Incorrect characters will be displayed.
Currently no known solution.
