OpenLaszlo is an open source platform for the development and delivery of rich Internet applications. It is released under the Open Source Initiative-certified Common Public License.

A project from Laszlo Systems and Sun Microsystems called Orbit will allow OpenLaszlo applications to be compiled as a CDC Java ME application without programming in Java.

The OpenLaszlo platform consists of the LZX XML-based declarative language and ECMAScript language. Up to version 4.0 it can compile this code to Flash web application or AJAX web application. Project Orbit will allow compile, from the same source code, to a mobile application.
