Glenn Versweyveld ([[User: Depechie]]) has been selected as COM winner for October.
+
Rob Kachmar ([[User: Rob.Kachmar]]) has been selected as the Nokia Developer Contributor of the Month (COM) winner for December.

Over the last few months Glenn has written a number of really interesting and useful articles. The wiki moderation team were particularly impressed by [[Tabbed interface with Pivot animation for Windows Phone]], which shows how to create the kind of "tabbed" UI found in the Windows Phone Twitter app.
+
This month, Rob wrote several high-quality articles for the wiki, covering the topics of image filters, NFC, and “Rate my App” integration. His article [http://developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/All_About_Custom_Filters_with_the_Nokia_Imaging_SDK Custom Filter QuickStart for Nokia Imaging SDK] received honourable mention in the [http://developer.nokia.com/Community/Wiki/Nokia_Imaging_and_Big_UI_Wiki_Competition_2013Q4 Nokia Imaging and Big UI Wiki Competition 2013Q4].

We also like [[How to keep a UI element in view when scrolling a page in Windows Phone]] and [[Image scrolling synced with large text scrolling]] which show different approaches to displaying images alongside text. He is continuing the theme with [[Image manipulation to show more text]] (still in draft).
+
Rob also recently won first prize in the [http://developer.nokia.com/Blogs/News/blog/2013/12/20/nokia-create-winner-showcase-rob-kachmar-and-camera-buddy/ Nokia Create Mini Mission 6 – Localisation] contest for localizing his [http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/camera-buddy/b364c2f5-65dd-424f-b876-d59eb98de130 Camera Buddy++] app to seven additional languages.

We'll be sending Glenn a Nokia Lumia 925 in the next few days! Please join me in congratulating him on the [http://developer.nokia.com/Community/Discussion/showthread.php/243501-Congratulations-to-Glenn-Versweyveld-October-2013-Wiki-Contributor-of-the-Month?p=929034&viewfull=1#post929034 discussion boards].

Healthcare is being revolutionized by the availability of inexpensive mobile phones that offer powerful processing and local networking features, such as Bluetooth, coupled with affordable devices for monitoring an individual’s key health indicators – heart rate, blood pressure, and alike.

In this wiki competition we want you to show us how far these possibilities can be taken on the Nokia Asha software platform using just the platform, or in combination with remote sensing devices. It’s your chance to make the world a healthier place.
