Please note that as of October 24, 2014, the Nokia Developer Wiki will no longer be accepting user contributions, including new entries, edits and comments, as we begin transitioning to our new home, in the Windows Phone Development Wiki. We plan to move over the majority of the existing entries. Thanks for all your past and future contributions.

Vinay Patil ([[User: vinayppatil]]) has been selected as the Nokia Developer Contributor of the Month (COM) winner for January 2014.
+
Hamish Willee ([[User: hamishwillee]]) has been selected as the Nokia Developer Wiki Contributor of the Month (COM) winner for February 2014.

Vinay made a number of significant contributions. Firstly, he wrote two new articles for the wiki: [[Compiling and using SQLite with Windows Phone 8]] and [[Compiling and using SQLite Encryption Extension (SEE) with Windows Phone 8]] which show how to compile SQL and its encryption extension (this can be useful, especially if you want to modify the sources). Secondly he has ''significantly'' updated and improved several other important articles including [[Dropbox with Windows Phone]], [[Tilt Effect for Windows Phone]] and [[How to detect the audio path (headset connection) on Windows Phone]]. This sort of content improvement is what keeps the wiki so relevant and useful!
+
Hamish has created a catalog of [[:Category:Nokia Imaging SDK Filter Recipes]] - combining the inbuilt Nokia Imaging SDK filters to create “recipes” for new filters. Hamish went above and beyond the call of duty on this; working on it even after his tenure as a Nokia Developer Community Manager with Nokia had ended.

For this great effort, Vinay has won a Lumia 925 and 2000XP! Please join me in congratulating him on the [http://developer.nokia.com/community/discussion/showthread.php/244755-Congratulations-to-Vinay-Patil-January-2014-Wiki-Contributor-of-the-Month?p=933450&viewfull=1#post933450 discussion boards].
+
During his time with Nokia, Hamish guided the community in making the wiki a valuable source of information about developing for Nokia. Some people even regard it as the best available wiki for Windows Phone development. If you haven’t spent much time there, we encourage you to check it out; you’ll like what you see.

Next month we've got another great Lumia device for our [[Wiki Contributor of the Month]]. That could be one of our great contributors from last month or it could be you: all you need to do is contribute useful articles, example codes, tutorials, or significantly shape up the existing ones!
+
Hamish also had a big impact on this discussion board; working behind the scenes to make sure that people got answers to their questions and found the information they needed.

We will miss Hamish. We wish him the best of luck in whatever the next chapter of his life holds. We truly appreciate all he’s done for this community.

 +
To recognize his work on this set of imaging filter recipes, we’ll be sending Hamish a Lumia 925, along with 2000 DVLUP XP!
