Please note that as of October 24, 2014, the Nokia Developer Wiki will no longer be accepting user contributions, including new entries, edits and comments, as we begin transitioning to our new home, in the Windows Phone Development Wiki. We plan to move over the majority of the existing entries. Thanks for all your past and future contributions.

Wiki Home

Welcome to the Nokia Developer Wiki, home to 9075 community created articles, code examples, and other resources for developing on Nokia's Windows Phone (Lumia), Nokia Asha and HERE Location platforms (and all our other service and legacy platforms too).

The wiki is easy to use, but if you do need help there is plenty of guidance in the Help or from our discussion board. Content improvements are welcomed, and significant contribution is rewarded through the Wiki Contributor of the Month program.

We're holding another wiki article competition!

Final week! The first few entries are pretty cool - can you come up with an even more innovative article?

Competitors will submit articles, tutorials and guides that show how to use the features of the updated Nokia Imaging SDK with both C++ and C# APIs, and also insight and guidance on how to best use the increased screen resolution and size on Nokia's larger devices. Winners will be among the first to receive the stunning new Nokia Lumia 1520.

Check out Nokia Imaging and Big UI Wiki Competition 2013Q4 for all the details.

Nokia Asha Wiki Competition 2013H2
Healthcare is being revolutionized by the availability of inexpensive mobile phones that offer powerful processing and local networking features.

Final Week
Just one more week to compete for 4 great prize packs (including phone, headphones, portable power pack and DVLUP XP).

In this wiki competition we want you to show us how far these possibilities can be taken on the Nokia Asha software platform using just the platform, or in combination with remote sensing devices. It’s your chance to make the world a healthier place.

Read more about this competition and participate.

COM winner for November: Sara Silva

Green Ribbon.gif

Sara Silva (saramgsilva ) has been selected as Contributor of the Month (COM) winner for November.

Over the last month Sara created 37 new articles and translations on the wiki! These included many articles showing how to use the MVVM Light Toolkit and services in the Cimbalino Windows Phone Toolkit, along with another 7 translations of popular wiki articles to Portuguese.

Sara is a Nokia Developer Champion, and this is the second time she has been selected as COM winner - the last time being in March.

We'll be sending her a Nokia Lumia 925 in the next few days! Please join me in congratulating her on the discussion boards.

Next month we've got another great Lumia device for our Wiki Contributor of the Month. That could be one of our great contributors from last month or it could be you: all you need to do is contribute useful articles, example codes, tutorials, or significantly shape up the existing ones!
