Nokia Asha software platform 1.1 supports new APIs for social sharing and voice over IP (VoIP) services. Nokia Asha SDK 1.1 supports these new APIs and now contains an enhanced emulator and great new example apps that will help you build your most compelling apps ever for millions of consumers around the world.
Pranav Gothadiya, lead developer for Nokia Asha SDKs, will start this training webinar with an overview of new and updated features in Nokia Asha software platform 1.1 and Nokia Asha SDK 1.1. Pranav will then demonstrate code examples included in the SDK to illustrate new APIs for sharing content via Facebook, Twitter, and other social media services. He’ll also touch on the new VoIP API, which enables VoIP calls to be made and received within apps for the Nokia Asha software platform. (You can learn more about social-sharing and VoIP capabilities for your apps by attending full-length webinars on those topics.)
Pranav will end the training session by demonstrating the new LWUIT Resource Editor integration with the Nokia IDE. This resource editor enables rapid UI development and customisation of MIDlets.
We suggest that you install Nokia Asha SDK 1.1 before the webinar begins. You won’t need the SDK to learn a lot from the session, but you’ll learn more if you have already installed it and can practice with it soon afterwards.
