I have looked everywhere and cannot find any documentation listing all of the classes and APIs for the various UIManager controls as well as for UIManager.
I have looked in forum.nokia.com as well...

you could check out the documnetation, it definetely should mention in some point that Platform service APIs are only availble with WRT Widgets, thus you can not use them from the Browser.

Is Location Service API available only from Web Runtime widgets?
I tried in normal HTML page (loaded from WEB server) :
