LWUIT permits creation of different types of resource elements: Image Resources, Dynamic Fonts, Localization (L10N), Themes, and user interfaces.

Resources can be delivered as a bundle (a binary file that can be loaded and used on the device). A bundle can combine several different resource types within a single file, thereby easing distribution and improving compression. LWUIT supports two methods for creating a resource bundle: a set of Ant tasks, or the graphical Resource Editor.
